Galaxy Tab A7: A Fine device for online classes and entertainment

The festive season has a few weeks left, but this year the shopping list demand is different due to the epidemic. People want to buy useful things. With this in mind Samsung has come up with the Galaxy Tab A7, a mid-range device for online learning, videoconferencing and watching movies. Check out the basic features here.

The first thing that catches the attention is the position of the selfie camera. Like the premium Galaxy Tab S7, it’s right in the middle of the bezel, as tablets are usually in videoconferencing, watching movies, playing games and most importantly in horizontal mode. It is also interesting that the Galaxy Tab A7 comes with a fingerprint scanner, so one has to use Face ID or PIN code. In our review of the device we will check if Face ID works in the dark.

The body is mostly metal, giving it a premium feel. If nothing else, it looks like a well-designed mid-range tablet. There is an 8MP main camera on the back but the tablets are not about top specs. Areas of focus are entertainment and education. Parents will be able to perceive the tablet as a festive season gift for children attending online classes. In our initial test, there is no log when switching between tasks and most applications run smoothly. Being a mid-range device, it is ambitious to use resource-driven software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.

As for the sound, it’s nice to see the presence of a quad stereo speaker to complete the 10.4-inch display. Weighing just 476 grams, it is enough to hold and watch movies. And before you ask, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack. The added bonus is that you can watch Netflix with full HD resolution. It gives the feel of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, but it has a higher configuration and price.

Outside the box, it comes with 32 GB of storage, although it is used by some software, but still has a lot of work to do, especially if you use it for online classes or watching movies. It has a large 7,040 mAh battery, which is enough for heavy use. There is no Samsung DX or S Pen support, which is kept for most premium devices.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 – the Wi-Fi version priced at Rs 17,999 and the 4G version priced at Rs 21,999 – is bundled with the powerful A12 biotic chip next to the new eighth generation iPad.
